Latin Curriculum
As Latin constitutes the next logical step after phonics in the process of learning to read, the language is introduced to the student in 2nd grade. At this stage we focus on the memorization of forms and vocabulary. Study of Latin continues year by year until by high school the student is reading the literature of Caesar, Cicero, and Virgil. The Lexington Latin School employs the programs of Memoria Press throughout the Latin curriculum.
